Hey there, my name is Corey and here is the deal of how I came about working with leather. My background has nothing to with working with leather, I work as an electrician and have been in the electrical trade for the past 18 years.

One day at work I noticed that I needed to upgrade my old leather belt that I had been using for many years. It was all faded and cracked. It basically needed to be replaced. After work I ended up buying the best belt I could find online in my price range. Then the day finally came when I received it in the mail, as soon as I opened up the package, I was very disappointed.

It was at that moment when I thought to myself, I am pretty good at working with my hands and I am creative enough I should just make my OWN belt! So off I went researching how to make one to my own specifications. Then proceeded online and ordered the supplies that I would need.

After receiving all the materials and a few basic leather working tools I began to build my new belt. I had no clue what I was doing so I kept it pretty basic. Even though it was just a simple and basic looking belt I was proud of it and showed it off at work. Before I knew it my coworkers were requesting a belt to be made for themselves. I started taking orders for belts and have done quite a few of them but I have also been challenging myself to make different leather goods which I am enjoying the process of figuring out on my own.
